Disney’s
California Adventure™ Park,
Disneyland
® Resort's
newest next door neighbor, puts a Disney
® Resort
spin on a magical journey through California. With three
themed parks jam packed with rides, interactive play, live
entertainment and California food favorites all ages are guaranteed
an unforgettable visit. As you enter under the famous Golden
Gate Bridge onto Sunshine Plaza with its trademark
Sun image and sparkling fountain this compact Park is spread
out before you.
Our "don’t
miss" list of Disney’s
California Adventure™ Park
attractions starts at Paradise Pier with California
Screamin’ considered by some fans to be the perfect
coaster ride. Then Soarin’ Over California takes
you on a thrilling simulated hang glider tour of the Golden
State- (get on board at Condor Flats). Ready
for another wild ride? Get stoked and get soaked at Grizzly
River Run in Golden State. (Opt for free Fast Pass
service and your place in line is saved for the most popular
attractions!!!)
For a
change of pace head for Hollywood Pictures Backlot,
become a contestant (and perhaps win a prize) on the very
popular Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Kids
and adults can’t resist the lovable Muppets in Muppet
Vision 3d also in this venue. Another "must see" attraction
in this same location is the live musical spectacular Alladin
starting January 2003 at the Hyperion Theater- a captivating
show for the whole family.
For a
bit of whimsy trek on over to Disney’s
California Adventure™ Park's,
A Bug’s Land, a venue full of attractions plus
the funny and imaginative 3-D film "It’s Tough to Be a Bug".
This is a "must not miss" event full of surprises and
special effects. (Parents might want to preview the film first
as it could be scary for smaller children.) Younger kids will
delight in the rides in A Bug’s Land as they
whirl, fly and bump to familiar tunes. This is a good place
for older and younger siblings to share a ride together.
Little
ones love to romp over the beached ship S.S.Rustworthy
near Paradise Pier (one of several Get Wet play
areas- bring a change of clothes!). You might want to continue
the nautical theme and have lunch at Ariel’s Grotto
also in the Paradise Pier venue. Bigger kids
can take a break from thrill rides and test their strength
and agility on suspension bridges and log swings at Redwood
Creek Challenge Trail in Golden State attraction area.
There is a height requirement for certain challenges and young
children need an adult in attendance (a good excuse for parents
to join in the fun). When it is time for little ones to mellow
out stop by Ahwahnee Camp in Golden State and
listen to a real live story teller.
